Junior England Amputee Team Raising Funds for World Cup Bid

Young members of England’s Junior Amputee Football Club are fundraising to support the men’s national team’s bid for the Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico.

Seven-year-old Jeevna, five-year-old Koda, and other young players appeared on ITV’s *This Morning* to spread awareness for the cause. Head of the England Amputee Football Association Elaine Oakey explained that while the men’s squad is favored to win, the charity lacks the necessary funds to travel.

Oakey, whose son Jamie plays for the men’s team, noted that football has transformed the lives of these young athletes, providing confidence and joy following life-changing amputations. lebandit.lat
