The Toronto Maple Leafs won the 2026 NHL Draft Lottery, securing the first overall selection. The Detroit Red Wings' traded pick landed at No. 15 and remains with the St. Louis Blues.

The NHL held the 2026 Draft Lottery on Tuesday, awarding the top two picks to the Toronto Maple Leafs and San Jose Sharks, respectively. The Maple Leafs had the fifth-best odds and needed to finish in the top five to keep their selection from the Boston Bruins. The Vancouver Canucks finished with the worst record but landed the third pick, while the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers rounded out the top five.
