Panthers Sign Jaelan Phillips to $120M Deal

The Carolina Panthers have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $120 million deal with free-agent edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, including $80 million in guarantees.

The 26-year-old former first-round pick is expected to become one of the highest-paid edge defenders in the NFL on an annual basis. Carolina prioritized pass rush depth after ranking 31st in pressure rate last season, and the move secures a top-tier talent despite his injury history. If signed, Phillips' $30 million average will rank eighth among all pass rushers.
