Thousands Celebrate at 47th Broad Street Run

Thousands of runners celebrated community spirit and personal victories at the 47th annual Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run on Sunday, cheered by enthusiastic crowds and near-perfect weather.

The 10-mile race through Philadelphia energized participants with its festive atmosphere and strong community support. Participants described the race as both a challenge and a joy, with many highlighting the city's enthusiastic support. "The energy's amazing. I love Broad Street and Philly in general," said Center City resident Erika Tvedten, who ran dressed as the Lorax. First-timer Travis Moscariello noted, "Everybody cheering me on, the people playing music, it was just a great experience." The finish line remained filled with smiles, hugs, and high-fives as runners celebrated another year of Philadelphia's iconic spring tradition.
